Biography
Peri Rose Huston-Miller graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2003 receiving her B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology. Following several years in the legal field, Ms. Huston-Miller earned her Juris Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in 2009. During law school, Ms. Huston-Miller served as an Editor on Nova Law Review, advanced in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, was an active member of ATLA (American Trial Lawyers Association), and held several student leadership positions while excelling academically. Ms. Huston-Miller began her career with Derrevere Stevens Black & Cozad as a law clerk while attending law school in 2008 and is now a trial attorney who practices in the area of complex commercial litigation specializing in construction defect and insurance claims. Ms. Huston-Miller’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association, Litigation and Forum on the Construction Industry section, DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar, Design Professional Special Litigation Group member, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, the Women’s Construction Litigation Alliance, the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, Certified Litigation Management Professional, and the Associated General Contractors of America, and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
